1981 AUSTIN FX4 LONDON CAB

For many years, the Austin FX4 black cab was one of the first things visitors to London saw when they stepped out of the airport.  A ride in one of these taxis was an essential part of anyone’s visit to London.  This car was so popular in London that it remained in production for nearly 40 years.  The current owner of this vehicle has fond memories of riding in Austin FX4 cabs with his mother and father as they travelled to the family home in London every Christmas holiday.  

 

The owner wanted to bring a piece of London back to New York as a reminder of those joyous times in London.  And what better iconic symbol of London than the Austin FX4 cab?  While keeping all of the standard equipment of the Austin FX4, the owner upgraded the vehicle to provide a more luxurious ride including:  an automatic transmission, tinted windows, a custom "Rolls Royce" leather interior with jump seats, front and rear air-conditioning, power windows, a wood rim steering wheel, burl wood trim, billet aluminum ash-trays and reading lamps, seat belts, HID headlights, a security system with tracking capability, an intercom system, a back-up camera, LED courtesy lights, dual batteries, a functional taxi-light, a full sound-audio-video package (including two televisions, a DVD player, a digital TV tuner, satellite radio, subwoofer, adriver navigation system, wi-fi, and a cellular repeater service.

 

The car has clean Delaware title with no recorded liens. Receipts for all upgrades present.
